Victor Osimhen is on the verge of joining Italian giants, AC Milan
from Belgium’s Charleroi, reports forzaitalianfootball.com. AC Milan is
currently overhauling their attack in this transfer window with younger
players appears with a view to making the team competitive once again.
A new transfer approach implemented by Ivan Gazidis and Leonardo has
resulted in the Rossoneri focused on players under the age of 25 with
great potential, as evidenced by the acquisitions of Lucas Paqueta and
Krzystof Piatek.
According to TMW, the Rossoneri are now keen on adding Osimhen, who
is on loan in Belgium from Wolfsburg, to that list and are discussing a
move for the 20-year-old.
The Nigerian forward is valued at €15 million and Milan are pushing
for an initial loan deal until the end of the campaign before making the
move permanent in the summer for a fee that corresponds to Wolfsburg’s
price tag.If the Rossoneri are to bring him on a six-month loan before
the transfer window closes, it would reportedly cost them €3 million.
Osimhen has been in impressive form at Charleroi this season, scoring
10 times and providing two assists in 20 appearances in all
competitions.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winning Golden Eaglets’ striker was
tipped for great things after the competition in South America, but his
initial move to Wolfsburg was not a success. He was loaned to Charleroi,
where he has become one of the highest scorers in the league. If the
moves succeed, he would join Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze as the
products of Emmanuel Amunike’s team in top European clubs.
